The Workshop
Studio 48°Nord exists because our own Dedica annoyed us: not enough room for our favorite cups, coffee grounds next to the portafilter. So we built the parts we ourselves were missing. First for us, then for other Dedica owners.
We don't keep stock. Your piece is only printed once you order it, on a Bambu Lab H2S in our Munich workshop. Afterwards it's checked, stamped with the logo and packed by hand. This is what our order days look like: every box a parcel that goes to the post office the next morning.

Unboxed
Every piece is wrapped in tissue paper, placed in the box with a card and padding, and sealed by hand. Not because it has to be a gift, but because it should feel, once opened, like what it is: freshly made for you.
There's always a Biscoff biscuit in the box, and depending on the season sometimes another sweet. Not something you order, more a habit: a new piece for your coffee corner deserves a first espresso with a biscuit.

The drip trays and the 3-piece combo come in two versions. Which one you choose depends on your machine's drip tray insert.

Not sure which model you have? Lift the upper grid on your machine and check whether the tray underneath is metal. On the product page you'll find the check as an infographic. It only applies to the drip trays. The portafilter holder and the combos fit every Dedica without this choice: the holder attaches magnetically to the metal wall that every model has.

Magnetic and without magnets are the two versions of the same drip tray; which one you need depends on your machine's drip tray insert. Magnet check means: the part fits, and a look under the grate tells you the version. Not offered means: we don't offer this part for that model.

Frequently Asked Questions
Almost everything in the range fits every De'Longhi Dedica: EC685, EC785, EC885 and EC890. One part is narrower: the cup rest is shaped for the EC685, EC785 and EC885, but not for the EC890 Dedica Duo, which has a display on top and therefore a different plate. Which part fits which model is set out in the table in the compatibility section.
For the drip trays, only one question decides the version: if your machine has a metal drip tray insert underneath (EC685 and EC885), you take the magnetic version. If it is plastic (EC890), you take the version without magnets. The Magnet Check further up shows it in pictures.
The dosing funnel, the portafilter holder and the combos fit every Dedica without this choice. The holder attaches magnetically to the metal wall that every model has.
No, please don't. The body is made of PLA, the water-carrying container of PETG. Both plastics get a quick hand wash, they're not made for the dishwasher.

Yes, if you look closely. The fine print layers are the signature of the process, not a flaw. Every piece also carries the embossed "studio 48° Nord" logo.
No. The tray sits under the cup and catches drips and leftover water, your coffee stays in the cup. The caught water collects in the removable PETG container, which you simply take out to empty and wash by hand.
Black is the standard: that's where the demand is, and it matches the Dedica. Special requests are still explicitly welcome. A different color or an engraving, we do that on request, for a surcharge. Just write to us at mail@studio48nord.de.
