“Honeycomb Design” Cup Rest for De’Longhi Dedica EC685 & EC885

The Honeycomb Design cup rest protects the chrome top plate of your De’Longhi Dedica (EC685/EC885) from scratches and gives it a refined, matte black look. Just lay it on, done: no gluing, no mounting, removable any time. The honeycomb structure lets the cup warmer’s heat through and gives your cups a secure footing. 100% made in Munich.

Why we built it

The Dedica’s top plate is chrome-plated, and that is exactly its weak spot: every cup you set down, every portafilter you rest for a moment leaves fine scratches over time. Once they are there, they don’t come out again. We wanted a surface that protects without disabling the cup warmer. That’s how the honeycomb structure came about.

Function & benefits

  • Scratch protection: The matte black rest sits between cup and chrome. Your machine’s surface stays the way it was on day one.
  • Heat comes through: The open honeycomb structure is not a closed board. The cup warmer keeps working, the heat rises through the honeycomb to the cup.
  • Secure footing: The honeycomb gives grip. Cups no longer slide around on the smooth chrome.
  • Made to fit, not universal: The contour is designed for the Dedica and follows the curve of the housing. Not a trimmed-down universal part.
  • No mounting needed: Just lay it on. No glue, no residue, simply lift it off for cleaning.

Material & sustainability

  • Material: Made from oil-free polylactic acid (PLA), a sturdy corn-starch-based plastic that feels considerably more premium than plain mass-market goods.
  • Production: The entire manufacturing process in our Munich workshop runs on 100% renewable electricity.

Compatibility

This cup rest was designed exclusively for the De’Longhi Dedica models EC685 and EC885. It is not suitable for other machines.

Important notes

  • Please clean by hand only. The product is not dishwasher-safe.
  • The cup rest slightly reduces the heat transfer of the cup warmer.

  • Shipping from Munich: Your order will be shipped directly from our workshop in Munich.
  • Shipping costs: We charge a flat rate of € 2.90 for shipping within Germany.
  • Fast processing: We know that you are looking forward to your order. As a rule, we process and dispatch orders within 48 hours (2 working days). So 1 working day for production and then the next working day at the latest the product goes to the post office. As we manufacture everything ourselves in our Munich studio, your parcel goes directly from us to the shipping service provider.

If an item does not quite meet your expectations, you can easily return or exchange it.

  • 30-day period: You can return items to us within 30 days of receipt.
  • How it works: Please contact us briefly by email at refund@studio48Nord.de or via our contact form before returning your item. We will then discuss the next steps together.
  • Return costs: The costs for the return shipment for returns or exchanges are borne by the buyers.
  • Condition of items: We can provide a full refund if the item arrives unused and in its original condition. If the item is not returned in its original condition (e.g. damaged or heavily worn), the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
