The Workshop
Studio 48°Nord exists because our own Dedica annoyed us: not enough room for our favorite cups, coffee grounds next to the portafilter. So we built the parts we ourselves were missing. First for us, then for other Dedica owners.
We don't keep stock. Your piece is only printed once you order it, on a Bambu Lab H2S in our Munich workshop. Afterwards it's checked, stamped with the logo and packed by hand. This is what our order days look like: every box a parcel that goes to the post office the next morning.

Unboxed
Every piece is wrapped in tissue paper, placed in the box with a card and padding, and sealed by hand. Not because it has to be a gift, but because it should feel, once opened, like what it is: freshly made for you.
There's always a Biscoff biscuit in the box, and depending on the season sometimes another sweet. Not something you order, more a habit: a new piece for your coffee corner deserves a first espresso with a biscuit.
The Two Designs
The magnet question is gone: our own drip container now sits under the grid, so what your machine's insert is made of no longer matters. What's left is the choice between two patterns.
Honeycomb
The honeycomb pattern
Fits every DedicaHexagons, tightly set. The quieter of the two patterns, it holds back next to the machine.
Livanto
The perforated pattern
Fits every DedicaRound holes in a staggered grid. More open and more technical, and by far our best-selling pattern.
Fitting it takes a minute: lift out the upper grid of your machine, then the original drip tray underneath, then the second original container (metal or plastic, depending on the year). Put our container in, the grid on top, done. Because both original parts come out, what they are made of is irrelevant. The product page walks you through the installation step by step. The only magnetic part left in the range is the portafilter holder, and it attaches to the painted metal wall that every Dedica has.

Fits means: we offer this part for that model, with no further choice to make. The old question of magnetic or not fell away when our own drip container moved in under the grid. Not offered means: we don't offer this part for that model.

Frequently Asked Questions
Almost everything in the range fits every De'Longhi Dedica: EC685, EC785, EC885 and EC890. Only the cup rests are narrower: they fit the EC685, EC785 and EC885, but not the EC890 Dedica Duo, which has a display on top and therefore a different plate. Which part fits which model is set out in the table in the compatibility section.
For the drip trays, as of August 2026 there is nothing left to choose and nothing to look up. Your machine's insert used to decide between a version with magnets and one without. Today our own drip container sits under the grid, and because both original parts come out for it, what they are made of no longer matters.
The only part in the range that is still magnetic is the portafilter holder. It attaches to the painted metal wall of the housing that every Dedica has.
No, please don't. The body is made of PLA, the water-carrying container of PETG. Both plastics get a quick hand wash, they're not made for the dishwasher.
Your piece is only printed after your order. Within 2 business days it's printed, checked and handed over for shipping, out of Munich.
After that, it reaches you within 1 to 4 business days in Germany, and within 4 to 8 in the EU. Shipping costs 3.90 € within Germany and 6.90 € to the EU, charged once per order: every additional piece in your cart ships free.

Yes, if you look closely. The fine print layers are the signature of the process, not a flaw. Every piece also carries the embossed "studio 48° Nord" logo.
No. The tray sits under the cup and catches drips and leftover water, your coffee stays in the cup. The caught water collects in the removable PETG container, which you simply take out to empty and wash by hand.
Black is the standard: that's where the demand is, and it matches the Dedica. Special requests are still explicitly welcome. A different color or an engraving, we do that on request, for a surcharge. Just write to us at mail@studio48nord.de.
